“I helped take back Mississauga-Lakeshore from the Liberals.”

Of course, that’s what every member of my great campaign team and I want to be able to say on election night.

But you know what’s great about a local campaign? You could be saying that too.

As I write this to you, we are less than four weeks away from Election Day: Monday, October 21^st. By the time you read this, there will be only 25 days left to identify Conservative voters, mail letters, put up signs and get our supporters to the polls.

You may have seen Mississauga—Lakeshore mentioned in the news as a ‘target’ riding for both the Conservatives and Liberals. You may have heard that my campaign team and our volunteers are doing a great job. You may have seen our busy campaign office. You may have seen my signs around the community since the election officially began on September 11^th.

But please, please do not assume that any of this means that I do not need whatever time you can spare. Please do not think that one day, or a couple of your afternoons or evenings won’t make a difference. They absolutely will, and I need you to commit that time to me, to Andrew Scheer, and to removing the appallingly unfit Justin Trudeau from office.

Will you agree today to join me and your Conservative friends at one of my upcoming Election Day training and information sessions? Can you make yourself available to help us deliver our vote on Election Day?

Even if you have volunteered before, even if you have attended volunteer training before, the brief session will be a great refresher, and offer some fascinating insights into the comprehensive and sophisticated campaign we are now executing. It’s also a great chance to meet old and new friends. Here are the dates and times:

Saturday, September 28^th – 11:00 am

Tuesday, October 1^st – 7:30 pm

Wednesday, October 9^th – 7:30 pm

Otherwise, before you know it, it will be Thanksgiving and you will realize “Hey, the election is just a week away!” Imagine instead how good you will feel enjoying your Thanksgiving dinner while saying: “I did the E-Day training, I went out and helped, and I’m all set to volunteer on Election Day.” That will make your turkey taste all the better!!
